Storytelling with Heart.

Oh Hey,

You may be wondering, how did a super shy kid (that's me) end up in the TV biz? Being super shy turned out to be my super power. It helped me fine tune my listening skills. And when I grew up, I realized that I felt comfortable talking to anyone about anything and... SPOILER ALERT - I usually do!

You could say I have an insatiable curiosity. I have to know: how did this person discover their passion in life... or how did they accomplish their dream... and what were the peaks and valleys along the way?

I believe that we can learn so much about ourselves, and the world around us - by sharing our stories. I feel so lucky that I get to be part of that as a reporter and producer on KOMO-TV's lifestyle show, Seattle Refined.

I am also fascinated by the creative process, and I LOVE making stuff. In fact I used to be a 'professional crafter' (yes, there is such a thing) via my blog Yesterday on Tuesday and on KOMO-TV as the DIY Diva. I've had some great opportunities along the way, from being on 'The Rachael Ray Show' and 'Hoda and Kathie Lee' to having my work featured by amazing publications including Better Homes & Gardens, Country Living, Good Housekeeping, Gourmet and House Beautiful.

Before I went full-on-crafter, I was a TV writer and producer at KIRO-TV in Seattle and for ABC News. I graduated from The Murrow School of Communications at Washington State University and Seattle University School of Law. My favorite job is being a mom to my three kids (two teens and a golden retriever) and wife.

I believe in being authentic, and celebrating the stuff you like about yourself - as well as accepting your own flaws/quirks/shortcomings. It's so important to love yourself. You are special, and YOUR story is important.
